Qur’an, Surahs (Chapters), Du’aas (Invocations), Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Aqaaid (Beliefs), Akhlaaq (Character), Taareekh (History) and Hadeeth (Sayings of the prophet (P.B.U.H).

 

Subject Objective Summary
Qur’an Reciting Qur’an fluently  with application of the rules of Tajweed Juz 5 – 9 ( Chapters 4,5,6,7)
Surahs For students to memorise selected  Surahs Surah Al Lail (Chapter 92), Shams (Chapter 91), Balad (Chapter 90) ,Fajr (Chapter 89)
Du’aas To learn essential Duaas (invocations) in the life of a Muslim Duaas (Invocations) for the Masjid, Salaah, travelling, visiting sick, drinking water etc.
Fiqh To learn about the Islamic laws of jurisprudence. Rules pertaining to Wudhu(Ablution), Ghusl(Bathing), Salaah etc.
Aqaaid To learn  the correct beliefs of a Muslim Attributes  of Allah, Signs of the Last day Angels, The hereafter etc.
Akhlaaq Learning Etiquettes and character building. Lessons include walking, talking, joking, neighbours, honouring guests, table manners, rights of a Muslim etc.
Taareekh To learn about the Prophets of Islam Study of the Life of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), his birth, childhood, character, Prophethood as well as the sacrifices & struggles he underwent for the sake of Islam.
Hadeeth To memorise sayings of the Prophet (P.B.U.H) in Arabic and English. Topics include  Salaah, controlling the tongue, breaking ties, kindness, wudhu, promises, backbiting, anger, etc

Asif Hanif
Asif Hanif is a Hafiz of Quraan and has a Masters degree in Islamic studies from the UK. He has experience as an imam (leader) and as a lecturer in Islamic studies.
