Subject Objective Summary
Qur’an Recognition and pronunciation of the Arabic Alphabets To recognise Arabic alphabets, joining letters as well as reading letters correctly with I’raab (signs)
Surahs Memorisation of selected Surahs (Chapters) Surah Kaafiroon (Chapter 109), Nasr (Chapter 110), Masad (Chapter 111), Maoon (Chapter 107)
Du’aas Memorisation of  Duaas (invocations) of the prophet (P.B.U.H) Islamic Months, eating, toilet, sneezing, thanking someone making  salaam etc.
Fiqh To learn about the Islamic laws of jurisprudence. Etiquette of the bathroom, importance of cleanliness in Islam etc.
Aqaaid To learn  the correct beliefs of a Muslim Belief in the oneness of  Allah, the attributes of Allah etc.
Akhlaaq Learning Etiquettes and character building. Behaviour in the class, at home, with people, instilling in them the importance of sharing, proper speech as well as eating & drinking habits.
Taareekh To learn about the Prophets of Islam Stories of Prophets  Adam, Nooh, Ibraaheem, Yousuf & Muhammad (P.B.U.H)
Hadeeth To memorise sayings of the prophet (P.B.U.H) in Arabic and English. Topics include Salaam (Greeting), eating, drinking, truthfulness, neighbours etc.

 

 

Teachers

Hadia Bhatti
Muallimah Hadia is from Pakistan and holds a BA in Islamic Studies and Sociology and a Masters in Sociology. She has studied the Holy Quran, Classical Arabic and Tajweed. She has also taught Islamic Studies in Pakistan and was one of the founding teachers for a charity school in Islamabad.

Fatima Laher
Muallimah Fatima is from South Africa and has completed a higher course of Islamic Sciences from Johannesburg. She has taught Islamic studies courses to children at institutes in South Africa and has been teaching at SAIC since 2018.

Saadia Saeed
Muallimah Saadia is from Pakistan with a Diploma in Islamic Studies.
She has been teaching Quran since 2013 and is currently studying Arabic and completing an online BA course in Islamic Studies.
